hello i was recently shopping around for cds, and i ran into a cd by the golden palominos. it was a collection of remixes by bill laswell, therre thaemlitz and bandulu. i don't recall the name of the cd, but it was on restless records and released in 1995. can anyone give me any feedback on this cd? if it is any good, i would like to pick it up. thanks. .. damian / dieselboy .. three the hard way

I've heard some of this, and I think the Bandulu remixes are excellent dubby things. The Terre Thaemlitz remixes aren't my thing, but other people like 'em. The Laswell remixes are cool too. I'd say check it out. Yeah, I bought it. My fav. track is the Laswell mix, smooth, slow hip hop breaks, and a nice bass line all groovin' and then slowly fading out as the vocals go on. Super. The Bandulu mixes are pretty standard Bandulu fare, one fast and pounding, one with crazy hi-hat action, and one slow hip hoppy one. Decent. The Therre Thaemlitz mixes are completely boring IMHO, not to my liking at all. It was an okay purchase. sung - -- (mRay) z943159@corn.cso.niu.edu
